Dream, design, and discover! Explore the many exciting areas of engineering while participating in fun hands-on activities. This camp offers a non-residential week-long program designed specifically for students who have just completed 5th and 6th grade (entering 6th or 7th grade in the 2020-2021 school year).
This year's theme is Plight of the Bumblebees: Engineering Solutions to Pollinator Extinction. Students will use concepts from multiple fields of engineering to design, build, and test solutions to various threats to pollinating insects .
Eligibility and Application
All students entering the 6th or 7th grade during the 2020-2021 school year are eligible to apply. Students will be accepted in the order they are registered.
Camp Dates and TimesJuly 13-17
8:30am to 4:30pm each day
The camp costs $300 for the entire week. This program fee covers snacks, a t-shirt, insurance, and other camp related expenses. Lunch is not provided. Students are expected to bring a lunch each day. If this will cause unnecessary hardship, please contact us prior to camp start to make alternate arrangements.
Program fees are due upon acceptance to the program. Scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of a number of sponsors. Please complete the scholarship portion of the application before May 1st to receive consideration for these scholarships.
This camp is held on the University of Arkansas campus. More specific information will be provided once registration is finalized.
